Phase 3 Of 80 Day Obsession

I did it You guys!! Done with all 3 phases. Now I am in the final week which is Peak week. It is Autumns favorite workouts throughout the entire workout and an option of doing deplete week with the meal plan. Where you carb cycle for 2 days have a day on the regular meal plan then do that again.

For Phase 3 I continued with the same meal plan as the 4 weeks prior In Phase 2 . Where Phase 2 was a bulk phase and you lifted a bit heavier. This one is lean. You are lifting a bit lighter the moves are harder. But basically shredding out. Out of all the phases. This one is the most difficult. But after being on the plan for 8 weeks you are ready. This one was my Favorite!

The Plan days switch around a bit.

AAA -60 min

  • Weights (light,
  • medium,
  • heavy),
  • Resistance Loops,
  • Strength Slides

Cardio flow -45 min

  • 4 reps of each move. But once you get all 10 in you go all the way through 8 times instead of 2.

Legs – 50 min

  • Weights (light,
  • medium,
  • heavy),
  • Strength Slides.

Total Body Core -60 min

  • Weights (light,
  • medium,
  • heavy),
  • Resistance Loops,
  • Strength Slides

Cardio Core- 45 min

  • Slides
  • Resistance loops

Booty – 50 min

  • Weights (light,
  • medium,
  • heavy),
  • Resistance Loops.
  • Strength slides

I was definitely the most sore this phase. So self care was key. Foam rolling, stretching and some added yoga.

Down a Total of 8.2 lbs and 12.5 inches

These are from Then End of Phase 2 Till the End of Phase 3

From Day 1 Until The End of Phase 3

Really happy with the results and excited to see what the end of Peak week brings. This was tough I won’t lie. But so freaking worth it. I am coming back after a year of medicated menopause. Where honestly I felt awful most of the time. The medicine only worked sporadically and I could not regulate my weight. I felt ballooned up and I thought that this would be the way my body was from now on. I thought I just would have to deal with it. I wanted to be healthy the rest didn’t matter.

So after the removal on my ovaries not even a full month later this program was released. I went all in. I did not think I would see anything like this. I am so thankful for this. And that Surgical Menopause has made a world of difference in my life. Yes there are still struggles. Some of the symptoms are annoying. But anything is better than where I was. I did not know how I could live that way anymore. Everything was suffering. Me, my family, my business. Im back to feeling great. Everything is on the up.

If you are ready to join me. Fill this out and lets talk!

Excuse Proofing your diet…

First of all I am going to start by saying it is not a diet it is a lifestyle I will do short cleanses that are strict but anything over that if I find a ton of you can’t have this or that blah blah blah I will not stick with it.

Once you make the decision to change your lifestyle you will need to consider some other things and change your excuses a bit.

“I love food.” Is one I hear a lot. Excuses me so do I. I fucking love to eat. Sometimes it is all I talk about and it happens to be one of my favorite things to do. Im not kidding. Who doesn’t like to eat? When I changed my lifestyle and started the 80/20 rule where I mainly eat healthy and allow a splurge every once in a while (ok sometimes more). Get this… This is AWESOME! I was able to eat MORE!! HOLLA Ive learned that you can make healthy food taste amazing with none of that fake shit!

“I can’t cook, I don’t have time, or don’t know how.” Ever see the Disney movie Ratatouille?  “Everyone can cook!” Its true. Seriously. So you can’t come up with your own recipes. Get a cook book. I love fixate. Also there are a ton of clean eating sites! Google. As for no time. Let me tell you about my friend. The crock pot. Set it and forget it and you can make just about anything in that bad boy!

“I hate the gym/ working out” Do you really have to go to the gym? I don’t I do my workouts right in my living room. There is also taking walks, jogging, throwing an epic dance party in your living room. Rock climbing, play some basketball. Get the picture. Do what you love. As for working out. I don’t necessarily love it. I love how I feel when I am done and what it has done for me. So I have come to some what enjoy it now. Don’t think that there aren’t days that working out is the last thing I want to do. Cause there are. I just go back to Why I started, and then I do it anyway. You won’t get the ass you want by sitting on it.

“I don’t have time to workout, or I need to put my kids first.” Bull shit you don’t make time because its not a priority to you. But you keep on hating on yourself. Love yourself enough to make the time. And me taking 30 min to improve my health will not harm my kids. It makes me a better mom, I am happier, I have more energy, and I have learned to teach them how to love and care for themselves. They know that is my time. And they are a part of my why so how is not working out for them?
“I don’t have the will power.” Take away the temptation! Seriously if you love Cheetos don’t by them. Put fruit out keep an array of healthy foods at your fingertips. Do not go to the grocery store hungry. Read a menu online before you go out when your not starving so you are not tempted to make horrible choices.

“Diets don’t work for me, I have tried everything.” Before I have too. And to be honest diets don’t work for anyone really. You’re thinking the wrong way. You need to change your lifestyle. Live in moderation and if you fuck up which you will cause you are human. Move on. Continue on with your healthy lifestyle. If you have a bad day don’t wake up the next day like. I was so bad yesterday that fuck this I will just continue to be fat. A lot of fitness is mentally how you think of yourself and your outlook on life in general. You know what you do say yesterday was bad, todays a new day I got this! Im gonna kick ass.

I hope this helps and you can start working in a better version of yourself!

Experiencing B.O.D

You are probably thinking what the hell is B.O.D? Its Beachbody On Demand silly…

Although I have been using it for P90X3 for what 9 weeks now, (since I do not physically own a copy of X3 (Another Perk!)) I have been using it in my living room. So I do not really get to see the full awesomeness of this product.

My husband has been working in Columbus Ohio. Which is a little over 3 hours from home, and now that the kids are out of school we got to go too! My business as a Beachbody Coach, can be worked anywhere. So I brought along my laptop.

Hello Beachbody On Demand.

You know what I brought besides this? Nothing!! They have a fitness center in the hotel. So if I need weights I can go there. I chose not to. Since I still have 3 kids with me. I picked the workouts I could do in my room, that are still on schedule for this week and hit play right in the hotel room.

The first day the kids were all excited its new sleeping in the hotel they got up with me. Still finished my workout. The 3 and  7 year old are easily entertained and played with a spinny (this is now a word, I said so…)  chair. LOL

Day 2 after an exhausting but awesome trip to the Columbus Zoo. (If you have a chance to go do it! We spent a day there and still did not see everything. It was so awesome! The kids had a blast!) The kids slept through me doing my workout.

You see, Pilates X was on the schedule this week so I moved it today. I made the workout accommodate me. Did you know you can do that? Weird huh?

So, I can fully say now that I 100% Beachbody On Demand. Not only do you have access to 25 full programs (some of them are admittedly pretty old. But who cares), You also get to sample workouts that you are not sure if you want to buy, and some of the programs you have purchased in the past are available on there.

If you travel and that is one of your excuses, as to why you cannot workout this is perfect!!! Most of you probably bring your laptop or a tablet with you anyway. What do you do after work when you travel? Besides stuff your face and get wasted. (sometimes still do that! Hey your human after all!) why not get in shape! Shock the hell out of everyone! 😉

If you don’t travel. Do what I do and use it in your living room!!

The cost. About 40 bucks every 3 months.

Beachbody On Demand With Shakeology the first 3 months of On Demand and a 30 day Supply of Shakeo.

On a Diet VS. Having a Diet

Ok scrolling down Facebook wall (I know there are so many things that I should be spending my time doing, but after a long weekend I am tired and zoned out. I would not have found this gem if I did not!)

How many of you love Chalene Johnson? She’s fantastic and she def knows her shit.

But she has a point… Being on a diet is so different then having a diet (or living a healthy lifestyle) Everybody is always looking for the quick fix. They want to lose weight the fastest and will do just about any ridiculous thing they find if they hear that they will. But are those Diets sustainable? When you go off the No Carb diet… does the weight stay off? Or you eat more than just Grapefruit? No you know what happens the weight comes right back on, because when you are done. You go on a binge of everything you were depriving yourself of.

Why not just make healthy choices and allow yourself to indulge occasionally? Seriously, I have done the dieting and it sucks. Change your lifestyle! Treat yourself once or twice a week with no guilt. I thoroughly enjoy all my cheats!

Surviving Superbowl

Its Super Bowl Sunday this weekend! You know what that means? Parties!!!! So you have made a New Years Resolution to get healthy and you’ve been sticking to it… Right? So you want to stay committed! Here are some tips to be successful.

First off I am going to say this, its one day. One day will not kill your momentum, it will however be a slight set back. So go to the parties, drink some beers or whatever you like, have some snacks, and some fun. Get right back on track Monday! Don’t make a lifestyle change hold you back from enjoying your life. Its the SUPER BOWL!

Whatever you do, DO NOT skip your meals before you go, because you are going to treat yourself. I used to do this all the time. Which was dumb, go to a party starving and either get wasted after one drink or devour the snack table with out breathing. You will be wanted back at every party… Skipping meals also slows down your metabolism. So what do you do before hand. You stay on point eat clean and get ready to go.

dont skip meals

With alcohol did you know the lower the proof the lower the calories per ounce? So stick to your lower proof vodka. 80 proof is 64 cals per 1 oz. Watch your mixers. “Your resolve can be really strong when you are sober, but after a few drinks, you may find yourself mindlessly overeating the nuts, another slice of pizza, or whatever food is within striking distance,” says Christine Gerbstadt, RD. Try  flavored vodka with sparkling water.

Light beers mean lower carbs and cal and usually are pretty close in proof.

Drink water in between of your booze. Not only will this lower the amount of calories you are getting, but greatly lessen your hangover! (SCORE)

Do not sit or stand by the snack table. If you do you have a bigger chance of mindlessly eating. Make a plate and walk away. I said to enjoy yourself not pig out and make yourself sick and disappointed in yourself. No better party then when your in self loathing… (<<<<<<enter sarcasm <<<<<<)

Sea Salt and Pepper

Blend the cauliflower, stock, and Garlic till smooth. Put into a pot. That is on med heat. Add butter and almond milk stirring occasionally. Season with Salt and Pepper. Bring to a bubble then stir in cheese. and you are done. Serve on whole wheat pasta with a sprinkle of parm. I was actually pleasantly surprised.
