So what the hell is this Clean Eating everyone is talking about? Let me simplify it for you… It is when you cut out the shitty processed foods from your diet. It is eating 6 small meals a day and balancing eating lean proteins, fruits, veggies, complex carbs and healthy fats. Basically you are cutting out processed foods.
Believe it or not you actually get to eat more food and you will feel better than you ever have. Eating clean will get your body to its optimum weight and you will tone up way faster then when you eat crap. Lets face it…
This is a life-style change, but that does not mean you cannot ever treat your self. I follow clean eating 80% of the time. Never leaving me feeling deprived, it is all about moderation not deprivation.
Strawberries, bananas, peaches, and plums sparingly (high in natural sugars)
I buy frozen fruits sometimes too when they are not in season way cheaper!! (there should not be any added sugar)
Green leafy lettuce
Frozen veggies are a great way to get them too!! No added salts
Healthy Fats (2/3 servings)
extra Virgin olive oil
Grape seed oil
natural nut butters
Beef is usually not included I eat very lean beef
boneless/skinless chicken and ground chicken
turkey and ground turkey
eggs and egg whites
Greek yogurt (0%)
Protien Shakes (I use Shakeology )
oats (quick, old fashion, steel cut)
yams (sweet potatoes)
whole grain pasta
Ezekiel bread (whole grain bread)
Corn/whole wheat tortillas
Can I remind you that healthy does not mean boring! Try to stick with salt free seasonings. I love Mrs. Dash, there are a ton of flavors to work with. I use Himalayan salt sparingly.
