Banana oat bread (not quite grandmas recipe)


What you need

2 ripe ๐ŸŒ bananas smashed

1 cup old fashioned oatmeal

3/4 cup all purpose flour

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs ๐Ÿณ 

1/2 cup melted coconut ๐ŸŒด oil

1/4 cup whipping cream (could use milk)

1 tsp vanilla 

1 tsp baking soda

Dash of salt

Chia seeds (optional)

Throw it all in a bowl mix it up. Will be a little lumpy. Put in a greased 9×5 loaf pan bake at 325 for 1 hr and 20 min. It is ๐Ÿ˜‹ delicious!

Easy crock pot meat spaghetti sauceย 


Take

93% lean ground ๐Ÿฆƒ turkey

28 oz can crushed tomatoes ๐Ÿ…

15 oz can tomato sauce

1/2 diced red bell pepper

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tsp oregano ๐ŸŒฟ

1 tsp ๐ŸŒฟ basil

1tsp minced onion

1tsp crushed pepper

Dump all in the crock pot stir it up. Cook high 4 hrs low 8. The meat will cook and break up.

I will be using this in lasagna, but feel free to dump over ๐Ÿ pasta! Easy and delish ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Riley’s Smoothy

Imagine my excitement when Riley asked for a smoothie for bed snack! And she picked everything in it herself.


1/2 a cutie (clementine)

1/4 squeezed ๐Ÿ‹ lemon

3 whole strawberries ๐Ÿ“ 

1/2 frozen ๐ŸŒ banana

1/2 cup water ๐Ÿ’ฆ 

Blend!!
To make extra special we added prob a 1/4 cup kemps black raspberry swirl frozen yogurt. Topped with whipped Cream. Although it was tasty before that! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Finding balance in the chaos…

A lot of what I do involves balancing it out. Finding the right time To fit everything in. Yes I’m a stay at home mom. I also am a nanny, a blogger, a farmer, a cook, a maid, at times a monster fighter and a nurse, a Beachbody coach. That list goes on and on. I am busy as hell. My husband is out of town 4 days a week and I work on weekends. 

My life is currently like this 

I will pick up that Tupperware 25 times today. That’s ok. It’s what I do, and I manage sometimes better than others. So how do I make it work?

I get time for me by getting up early and squeezing in my workout. Yes I’m tired but this is the only time I’ll get to fit it in.

If I let myself sleep then nap time is workout time. Working out is my frog so I get that done first if not I will do anything and everything to avoid it (wondering what I’m talking about check out Brian Tracy’s Eat That Frog)

Business wise everything is planned out.  

It needs to happen like this or it won’t get done. I coach because I ๐Ÿ˜ love it! It’s a passion so I make time for it. I fit it in when we can I make this work with my schedule. 

Everything needs to have a plan to run smoothly if I can get this done. So can you! And I really want to help. Seriously

Shredded pork loin


I had a 2 lbs pork loin in the freezer. Defrost of very little just to get it out of the package. You do this with mostly frozen meat. Throw that in the crock pot. 

Spices needed ( I don’t really measure so this is a rough estimate)

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper

1/2 tsp paprika 

Sea salt

Pepper

1/2 tsp Marjoram 

1/2 tsp ๐ŸŒฟ basil

2 tsp minced garlic

Other ingredients 

2 tbsp ๐ŸŽ Apple cider vinegar 

Shallot

1tsp olive oil

1/4 cup ๐Ÿฏ honey

Dump everything on the pork loin. Throw the peeled shallot in there too. Cover and turn the crock pot on high! Cook for 4 hrs and shred! 

Easy Chicken Stir fry

I started meal prepping! A pain in the ass initially but it is great when I’m starving and can grab something quick to help me stay on track. So its nice!! I like simple meals. and something that isn’t going to take a bunch of time. Cause I don’t have it.


You need:

roughly 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken (I used tenders)

Salt

Pepper

garlic powder

Crushed Pepper

California Melody bag of veggies (carrots, Cauliflower, and broccoli) (steamer)

1 cup diced peppers (I used yellow and orange)

1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce

1/3 cup honey

Brown rice ( I used quick cooking and I made a serving)

Olive Oil Spray

What you need to do:


Start cooking the brown rice. Start cooking the chicken in a pan. sprayed with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. While that is cooking you steam the bag of veggies in microwave for 3 min. Spray another pan. Add peppers and all the other veggies. Sautรฉ a few min. Then add soy sauce, honey and crushed red pepper. Simmer for a few min.

Dice up cooked chicken and start dividing up the food. In a container. I put a yellow (1/2 cup)of rice, a red (3/4 Cup) of chicken, then a green (1 Cup) of ย veggies. I got 3 then I had an extra of chicken and rice which I can uStore in fridge and heat as needed.

One week of Core De Force


It’s been a week. I started to follow the portion meal plan again. Kinda… the weekend wasn’t the best, but I’ve had worse. I didn’t skip a workout. And I really enjoy them! 

I did not think this workout would be for me. MMA usually has me feeling awkward and tripping over myself. I always feel like I cannot keep up and I don’t like feeling like I’m missing steps. I know it does not have to be perfect, but if your constantly stumbling over the steps how are you doing them effectively enough to see any results? 

Well they break it down really well they even do an “instructional” video on some of them so you can really get the most of the moves. I did not do those ๐Ÿ˜ณ. Hahahahaha ๐Ÿ˜‚ I just like to get to the workout I don’t want to add another minute. I know ridiculous. But whatever. The workouts are fun. They range in time from 27-47 min and even the 47 min one seems to go by quickly. Which I like! I have been so spoiled with 22 min workouts I wasn’t sure how that was going to go. 

You feel bad ass and it’s a calorie torcher. 

I see results. I believe the best way to measure is picture. I have no idea what the scale difference would be and I really don’t care right now. I’m happy where I’m at ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—.

Difference in years after working outย 

23 vs 31… a lot has changed! Seriously a TON!! The 23 year old me was miserable and uncomfortable I hated my body and was exhausted with 2 little ones.ย 31 year old me 3 kids and happy! Energized and ๐Ÿ’ฏ % comfortable in my own skin!

What changed? I made the little decision to put myself first. To workout each day and to eat healthier. I learned what to eat and how much. I learned that it’s ok to spend time on me and that everything is ok in moderation. I met this great group of people for support and accountability and decided that I should join them and run my own fitness groups.
I learned that there is no quick fix and if thats what you took to get there it wouldn’t last very long. That this way of living is a lifestyle and mindset change! I’m so glad I made the steps to change and I haven’t looked back.
